That is awesome. Kinda cool how life throws in twist and turns, in your case all left turns that led back to the beginning!

    Good input Volvo, thank you.
Difference of opinion though on "North Star". Kind of a 2nd life thing, changed of course but still the core of the "Northern Star".
The color will be black cherry. (Cherry Hemi perhaps)? I have the side hood panels blisters and all but they are not pretty so they will remain in the garage rafters. (no side panels.)

So it has been quite some time since last here, and many things have transpired. I of course do still have the car, Jim is still my guru, the car is upholstered, running well with just little tweeks left to do and painting. Going to try flat black to start with.
Still snowbirdding to Az, Barrett-Jackson and all the great cars and sun there.
Have lost a little interest in the car as my middle daughter died the 12th of March from a heart attack brought on by pain meds. She was only 53. This hurts beyond understanding and am struggling with it but doing my best to cope.
I or we, Jim and I, have found a problem when driving it, in that I misjudged the clearance needed for the rearend on the crossmember and now need to get longer shocks. The issue is the "spring rate" needed but Jim is pretty up on this and is coming over tomorrow so we can figure out what we need. He fell this winter at work and broke his wrist and hip and had to have surgery and is somewhat out of commission.
I'll try and post here how it goes more often but to be truthful, it isn't foremost on my mind these days. You guys keep wrenching on those wonderful projects, they are all awesome.

Sorry to hear about your Daughter and your buddy's misfortune. Hope you can finish your coupe in some form so that you can enjoy one of your first "Loves". Keeping yourself busy will aid the healing. Be Well, Carp

Just wanna say thanks for the kind words guys.

And hey Xman I dig the 34 with the flattie, great chop. See your from T-town. You do any of the weekend cruze-ins around? Used to do them back in the 90's but not since then. Just about ready to get out to some again in the 34 but don't know where they are. You know?

Great story on the car, Snag a copy of Cruzin magazine off the magazine rack (usually you can find it at Fred Meyers) or go to their online link http://www.cruzinmag.com/calendar.html and you find one of the better rundowns on PNW events.

Well guys and gals, after 22 years "this" 34 3 window is complete (almost. they are really never "done"). Jim whom I wrote about being my savior in wiring and so many other things convinced me to go with "hot rod black" paint and I'm glad he did. This 34 took on its own persona as I built it and it turned out what I call new old school. I only have a single picture which I will include here but will get more when a buy a new camera. Car runs great, drives like a hot rod, shifts will wake you up what with the B&M torque flite. Goodguys here in a couple weeks, awful expensive though and deciding if I really want to spend that kind of $$$$$ to show it off. My last name is Moe, so leaning twords "Moe's Toy" for the name.
Now trying to upload the only pic I currently have with more to follow when the camera arrives.

    Hey 34L,
That 34 is one cool looking build. CONGRATS..

By the way, does your family history go back to Long Beach, CA in the 50's? My 4th grade teacher at Garfield Elementary School was named Audrey Moe. She was one inspiring teacher that made school fun and exciting. We learned a bunch of new materials and she taught us stuff other than just book work. Boy, could she kick a kickball and throw a spiral in football !!!

We were able to form bowls out of clay, have them fired and on display for the open house events. We built rifles, camping stuff, wore old west clothing and put on a play about early history. At the end of that great school year, the top students (6) got to go to her apartment just steps from the beach, near downtown Long Beach. It was a cool reward for doing so well in school.

Teachers like her made school fun and made us want to learn something to better ourselves. She certainly was a candidate for teacher of the year. My grades from 3rd to 4th were from low to extremely high at the end of the year. What a change for me... My parents were impressed with her and the methods she used to get us to like school.
