Ordered a pair of swan neck mirrors I did,
of which after trying to save, I quicky got rid.
They were four days late in arriving,
    left me steaming and in
    Amazon damning.
Order was with Amazon, but delivery was Ebay,
caused me to wonder, what the damned Hey?

    Upon examination holy tarnation
six parts are missing, I can't complete my mission.
The tapped threads are egg shaped, need chased to boot,
these things are ridiculous, and the chrome blemished to boot.

    Went online for returning
Only walk away with my *** burning.
No real person was there to hear me out
Just a recording, "What the hell is this all about"?

So, I take the Ebay box that this sh**came to my porch in
shoved it deeply in my 50-gallon trash bin.
Let Waste Management bury them deep
I'll not lose a wink of sleep

    I've already ordered another pair
From Speedway way back east somewhere.
The cost is no big deal to this guy
a hundred twelve bucks will not cause me to cry.

My Ford deserves the best and I,ll see to that
and Amazon from now on can go kiss the *** of a rat

After Four hrs . no replies??????????? (odd that , on Saturday to boot ?? . Find that very strange.
Got to give up on give up on this crowd, perhaps my mind is a bit too far off for this deep-thinking hot-rodding group, perhaps. ( I APPOLOGIZE) ! What I penned above is true and was meant as a warning to all to be careful when ordering from Mr. Billionaire Bazzos (sp?)

Sounds like the starter ring I just received from Dennis Carpenter... made in India. Going back to them Monday. It was ground so bad on the ID, no way would it hold it's shrink fit. You can see the original rusty one underneath to compare. thumbnail.jpg

Junk new stuff is the world's new standards.
Nothing works like it used to, and few companies care anymore.
They got your money, you got their junk.
Call your credit card and have them reverse the charges, but dig it out of the trash first, you may need to send it back, on your dime!
They are hoping its not worth your time, and you will do exactly what you did!
Then they win, and you, and the next guy both loose.
Until it costs them enough cash flow to be a problem, they will keep doing it.

If you bought on eBay and got an Amazon product, you got a drop ship scam. Lots of junk on Amazon

Trying to save a buck buying from Amazon and other company's like them will usually end up in disappointment, I prefer to deal with lidigitement auto parts company's, it pays off in the long run. HRP

HRP, could not agree more with ya. more. That is why Speedway was my first choice, price quality and speed in shipping, ( although Jegs, and many others are very good also, it's just that S.W. put a lot of parts on the original build, so I thought of them first.

I buy a ton of stuff on Amazon and never had issues but I also look at the seller, not just buy the cheapest one I can find.
Practically all name brand manufactures sell on Amazon, you can buy product from Summit, Jegs, Speedway, Aeroquip, Holley etc etc etc and sometimes get a better shipping deal if you're an Amazon Prime member.

Don't blame Amazon, because you picked the cheapest product and vendor. My most recent problem with an order through Amazon was a drive shaft safety loop I ordered from Jegs that was bent on the wrong side. I made a claim on Amazon, Jegs contacted me and sent out a new one, no h***les or anything.

Here's my case in point, Speedway's swan neck mirror for sale on Amazon for $105 total so it would save you $7 bucks.

    To quote myself from above:
" After Four hrs . no replies??????????? (odd that , on Saturday to boot ?? . Find that very strange". Sorry about that!!!!!

    ========================================
The shrink that I visit monthly calls it Larrys Anxiety syndrome. (just BSing ya all, there's no shrink, well at least monthly).
I thought I'd p*** on a little more info from the good sales force at Amazon, after I refused to give up getting a hold of someone via the phone. When I did, my first question of the person was, are you a Ro****...err excuse me, Robot?? No says she. Good says I. How can I help you says her? I gives her my name, my phone number. address, day I entered earth, height, weight, color of eyes, if I'm bald or have full head of hair, I have flat feet, I am honorably discharged, what branch of service, mothers Madian name, first born gender and age, at what age my parents were when they p***ed, who I voted for in the last election, if I'm Republican or Democrat, if I'm' now too old to tie my own shoes, do I use eye gl***es or contacts and if I'm able to reach the toilet ****r roll from the seated position in the home bathroom After addressing all that to her satisfaction we arrive at the reason for my call.
Then the kicker question, "can you tell me your order number"? "No" says I "but my phone number is (**x-**x-****) and my sir name is Wm. L. Moe that I order under, but my nick name is Larry and if that is too confusing for you try taking a course in caliculus". Well with the technology at her fingertips provided from Mr. Bates , who BTW lived and grew up just across the lake and down the street from where her hinny is parked as she is speaking to me, finds my order. and understands somewhat of what I have explained the problem to be with the mirrors be, she exclaims in all the fake horror she can muster, Oh My I'm so Sorry Mr. Moe we will refund in full the entire purchase price pulse tax and shipping. You will see that on your next Visa statement.

So then about an hour later as I am wiping up our evening meal, (recall my wife is Dementia ridden),
my cell rings. A female voice says she is a Verizon online sales Supervisor, wants to know if my problem has been resolved to my satisfaction. I'm dumb founded. Respond with " You got to be Joking; I know the conversation was recorded go listen to that and decide for yourself then call be back. I'm still waiting.
    34 Larry.......I'm out.

  14. Honestly I've had really good luck on Amazon. Only had one thing fall through and they immediately refunded my $. Quite a few Amazon parts on my 53 that have held up nicely. Only thing I've had any kind of issue with is my shifter and that's because I never actually adjusted it. Lol

swade41: Having built, owned, cherished, driven, received awards for my pride, cheap has no place with me nor it!! Nor was I looking for cheap. I was concerned only with the length of the arm, wanting a fairly short one, not the longer ones I see that are available , AND GOOD OLD AMARICAN WORKMANSHIP AND QUALITY, NOT THE SH** I RECEIVED FROM AMA****. AND I AM DAMNED WELL BLAMING AMAZON FOR THEIR LOUZY TRASH THEY PEDDLED TO ME WHEN I BOUGHT IN GOOD FAITH, EXPECTING QUALITY MURCHENDICE FOR MY GOOD OL' US CURRENCY!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT TRY AND TELL ME HOW I SHOULD RESPECT A RETAILOR, AND I DID NOT PICK THE VENDOR BT THE WAY, (EBAY), THAT WAS AMA****S CHOICE NOT MINE, YOU SHOLUD OF CAUGHT THAT IN MY OPENING POST, ODE TO AMA****. I CAN ONLY SPCULATE THAT YOU MUST HAVE STOCK WITH THEM, BE EMPLOYED WITH THEM OR HAVE RELITIVES WHO
ARE. I Do not mean to make foes of YOU OR ANY ANY Hamers here, but your supposition of me being cheap, leaves me wanting, and if I misunderstand your motives, or meaning, please excuse me, maybe you can choose your wording with folks here a bit, next tine

Trust me, I don't work for them or know anyone that does, I'm a straight up guy that just calls it like it is.
I just ordered 2 tires on Amazon from a lesser known manufacturer but I liked the tread design of them better than the more popular manufacturers. I looked at the reviews and they were positive, but if something is wrong with them I'm not going to blame Amazon, I'll blame the manufacturer.
I know what you're thinking though ">>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>BFD who gives a **** what you do??????"

I had a problem with a part I bought from Amazon. They told me to keep the old part and sent a new one for free.
