I've listened in and snuck around this board for a while and finally decided to become "legal". Its hard to stay in the background with friends like SKOTZ. I enjoy engine building (stroker flatheads, American or French .. Chevys Fords, Buicks, even v12 Lincoln Zephyrs!!) , hot rods (I'm NOT a Street Rod type of guy!). I hate the structure of NSRA (Whats the deal with No burnouts or drag racing ??!!) I like "G" Force, no matter how you get it (Bonneville, drags, or street racing!). ... Flathead Injun

Yeah, you're gona like it here alright. What does the Flathead Injun" refer to? I just sold my flathead Injun. It was a 41 Pontiac coupe with a flathead 6 engine. I'd imagine yours is an Indian motorcycle with the big flathead V-twin?

No, no, no.... Here's the real poop on "him"
He is one of those "red skin Injuns" that us cowboys like to shoot at:D ,who "WAS" a die hard Chevy engine guy, that I "caught" building a FLATHEAD(late at nights, hidden behind closed doors and all that sort of stuff)....Low and behold, he "Enjoyed" messing with the old antique engines(doubt he will ever say that in public). Ya can never tell what these machinest types will do next....Oh, thats right, he is building the next engine for my 32 3w....son of a gun, another Flathead, this one with one of those funny lookin pumps on the top of it......SO, now you can see where he got pinned with the "Flathead Injun".
A Hot Rodder from way back, that definately likes to make the rear tires go a lot faster than the fronts. A lot of knowledge here, and a best friend of mine.
Welcome aboard Jim :D :D I am gonna love calling you a FNG!

  4. Welcome aboard FNG!

So I hear Skot's blower motor is coming along fine and everyone will get to see it at the Round-Up! That will be great - lowered lid, light weight floorboards, working door (singular - no way to pick up chicks but he's having fun with hot rods again) and a blown flathead. Skot ought to be the hit of the Round-Up:D

Maybe I'll get to go down there again next year.

Behave yourself around that NRA nut;)

Rocky: Yeah, you're right ... I already do like it here ... pretty cool!! My "Flathead Injun" refers to my heritage (Cherokee) and the engines I build (lately it's been mostly stroker Flatheads ... French & American, blown and normally aspirated). Although, I do love the old Indian bikes, I ride a late model American chopper. PS Always loved the "Chief" riding on the hood !!!!

Skotz: You promised you wouldn't tell !! You must have been welding galvanized again (I told you not to sniff the fumes !!!). OK, I will admit it, I DO like the sound of a Badazz Flat motor no matter if its at idle or if its screaming its heart out !!! What a sound!!! Thanks for the welcome, friend ... Jim

Thanks for the welcome ... I never thought that I would attain this level of "youth" , but I like it! It's good to see the "kids" picking up the torch (welding !) and running with it !!
