Some of you may know that my '55 Belair was purchased new by my grandfather and p***ed down to me. Well, before the '55, as soon as my grandpa got out of the hospital after coming home from the war he picked up a new Ford truck as well. He kept it the rest of his life. After he p***ed away in '91 my uncle took the truck to east Texas with him and its been parked ever since. It's all original but it rough shape. It ran when my uncle got it but now, not so much. I've been begging for the truck so I could get it back on the road where it belongs. After years and years of persistence it turns out my uncle is loading it up on a trailer right now to bring it back to it's hometown! I'm very excited! My first flathead...

What a cool deal to bring another family icon back to life. The flatty will be a challenge, but you can do it! These are very cool and I feel a little underappreciated. Good luck with the project. ~sololobo~

One of the reasons I have an F-1 (several in fact) is that my Dad had them when He cotton farmed in the Mississippi river delta. Very cool that you will have the actual truck with a family connection.
