If you're interested in ancient history, or, if you're simply interested in how car clubs get started, take a look at RAMCHARGERS HISTORY at my site (bottom of the page on the site). Turn your sound up and listen to the ramblings of an old man as you watch the pictures. http://www.shopeshop.org/
Also, if you want an education on suspension design from a guy who actually knows what he's talking about, go to his site and click on "Dragracing". You'll be there for a while! Ralph
Great to see you back on the HAMB Mr Shope! Very excited to see you've updated your webpage! You have so much knowledge to share and I for one am very grateful! Also need to thank you for the slide show... It's so great to be able to HEAR the story told, and to finally learn the names of the people in the pictures that I've started at for hours and hours wondering. I would love to have a copy of it to save in my files! You may or may not remember me, We spoke on here a few times back in 2008, I was doing research on the H&M as I was planning on recreating the white car as it was for the 1960 season. Well things have progressed slowly due to issue with health, money, work and being a single Dad. But I'm happy to report that I have finally started the project ! It's going to be a slow process as I plan on doing everything myself in my spare time, But I hope to be able to have it together for summer of 2014. Thanks for everything that you've done and continue to do for our family of hot rodders!
Interesting - too bad can not have one location on site for car stuff and the other topics elsewhere.
Interesting fact....One of the original Ramchargers is a member here on the HAMB...I'll not give his name,I'll let him do it if he wants.. I get regular emails from him on Ramcharger activities..as he is an old high school mate of mine
Mr Shope thanks for that lesson in history. Its crazy that I have know M. Barnes Daniels for years and only recently learned what that RamChargers tag on the front of his cars means. Im not sure if your still in contact with him but I plan on sending him a link to your website. Heres a few pictures of his latest project the "Green Hornet".
Thank you for sharing your experience, knowledge and ideas on suspension (and other topics). The pictures on one of the pages really helped me see what you are talking about. If you are willing, a couple basic pictures on some of the other pages would really help make clear what you are talking about. I think I have, in my mind's eye, the same pictures as you intended, but I can't be sure due to my youth and inexperience. Thank you for all the time and expertise you put into all that.
Thanks for posting Backyard! I've only ever seen a very small black and white picture of Barnes' set up.. this is awesome!!!!
