Lol you can still buy them ! saw them in the yellow universal blister pack at the last swap meet I was at . they look cool in the pack , thought about it for about a minute . Chuckled and put them down !!!
I've got a few NOS cards of those on the shelf in the garage. Bought them at a swap meet years ago, but have still to use them. Mine are chrome like those. I wonder if they were all chrome?
I'd put them on something. Daily driver, kitchen cabinet, tool box, battery box, dash, center console, something.
Just lay a pass of mud and pop them on your hood. You guys make things so difficult with all those tools and presses. Jeez.
There is a lot if interesting stuff to be found in old Almquist catalogs, fun reading. I wish a lot of it was still being offered. I wonder where it all went?
Those would have saved me some time and $$$ had I considered (forgot about) them when I needed some louvered panels on the front fairing of the shifterkart that I raced in the early 80's.
I’ll take a few dozen, willing to pay advertised price So these were just for a look, or were slots cut out?
A few years ago, I got some of those bolt-on CNC louvers from "WORM" in Ohio (and hot rod shop and possibly a speed shop) but I'm not sure they are still around or selling them. But I used them for defrost vents on my 37 Fordor's steel dash. Cutting the oblong hole to the exact size of the louver was a pain but well worth it. I polished them up and had them chrome plated. Worked great. I'd hate to cut all those matching holes on a full trunk lid, however. But on a glass car, might be worth the trouble (not operational) just for the looks.
