I can't wait! Last night I had just walked in the front door after being gone for a week and the phone rang...
"It runs. I just took it around the building."

    :D

I'm going to go do the registration stuff and get my plates in a few minutes.

It's Myk's crazy progress now and not mine, but here are two quick shots.

I drove it last night. :D

Not much left now. Finish up the floor, adjust the brakes, finish the seats, and get some headlights/taillights.

I didn't even think to get pics of the firewall, throttle, floor, etc, etc. Maybe today. For now, here are a few pics of some lines Aaron (Hard Luck) laid last night. He did the visor and and the space between the decklid and rear window.

    It came home last night!
I was driving down the Bush (SH190 for those not from DFW) headed from N. Garland to Arlington (~45 miles) and when I was going through Carrollton a cop was getting on the highway as I passed. A friend was following me and he said he'd flash the brights or something if I started speeding too bad (or at all) since I don't have a speedo yet.

Well, I was just cruising along and the cop speeds up and gets right on my ass for a bit. This is where I thought I was going to spend some time on the side of the road explaining some things. So then he pulled up on my passenger side right even with the loud-as-fuck lake pipes just getting a face full of noise. He cruised next to me for a minute then backed off and got off the highway.
We stopped at a gas station and my friend said I was probably doing 10 over while the cop was pacing me.

HA! Oh well, I guess he just wanted to get an up close look.

Oh, and it got about 10 mpg on the drive home.

It rides pretty well on the highway. There's a little dead spot in the steering but I'll fix that with a new box. The trip to Austin starts in 7 hours or so

I got home after 3am and then couldn't fall asleep. I think I'm going to fall over and be asleep before I hit the ground in a few minutes.
