Looks like a really great beginning....pile of steel, great body, all the rest will bring great fun. Like me I'ma finishing my last build too. (really two..'32 highboy and '62 Falcon track car).
I chose a short cut for my age (76) and found a body and interior that was close to perfect and my liking. Added a custom perimeter frame, some other goodies and soon will be driving...total build time to now...by the clock...about 51/2 months, calendar time 9 months to now.
When done the shop gets swept clean. No more temptations....been a great ride IMG_20190812_100500524.jpeg IMG_20190812_111224416.jpeg IMG_20190802_152828980.jpeg IMG_20190802_152956561.jpeg

Yep! he's a grade A dude! He wants to experience something new to him, he is a mechanical engineer. His father and him designed and built the machines at the facility, but he's new to traditional hotrods. He's become like a little kid wringing his hands in anticipation......should be fun!!

Mine was too. Age has killed my noggin hard drive (soft drive). But the internet/Pinterest, HAMB etc. offer today an enormous wealth of alternatives and photos of how others have executed each event. Great to compare and review.
I coined Last Hurrah Garage because of this closing chapter. Done up some caps and t shirts. Doin some tag toppers now. Friend has done a video documentary not yet done..but can see some on YouTube.
Greatest language and social fun...building hot rods...

Ya think I can fit some things in here?? Along with a 75hp compressor that runs all the machine drives and air blasts, this thing could practically strip a battleship! [emoji23][emoji23]

I thought the EXACT same thing while I was taking that photo! The other side isn't much better. It's like every time they needed to run a wire up there "well, time to drill another hole". I think one pass through would have sufficed.

Envious of that subframe, seriously. You should have seen the last 4 or 5 I had to 'revamp'...
    'Ghastly' is the word.
There's a HAMB build going on right now, [Buying an ole can o' beans] HAMBer Austin is doing Beaner's ex Model A sedan. His bud Tim has supplied and trimmed down a Ford F6 truck center cross member to fit. Nice material piece. Check it out.
Center cross member is the main spine of a Model A frame...if '32s are most preferable, F-1 thru F-6 is secondary only to those...F1s being the best choice, because of 'compact' size.

That's what I'm looking for right now......the crossmember. I just scored 4 wide 5's and 2 drums, a flathead radiator and an F-1 steering column/box with the column shift for the trans I have! I have seen those builds......I'm getting excited!!!!

That last pic of the right side body makes me want to pull it out of the monitor and start on it...aside from the lower rust, it's SO straight!
    Totally 'massageable'...

I’m transporting the quarters home one at a time so I can utilize time better. Work on The subframe at work during the week, then get panel repairs done at home on the weekends. I’ve found my front wide 5 drums, so now I have a complete set of wheels and drums! Located a front drop axle, my pedal assembly came, there’s a ‘36 dash in the works right now. Things are coming together! Now I just need the frame member. I can make my own, I have all the material I need. If I can’t score the k or x member at a reasonable price, I’ll just go the “from scratch” route. Geezus, the last k member I saw they wanted almost a thousand friggin’ bucks!!! Well, I’ll be shoutin’ at yoos all soon, enjoy!!!
