Well..I chose the "other" event on Sunday..the midland antique festival....still a favorite, but sorry to have missed billetproof. I got thinkin...(bad mistake) about the ratrod(forgive me) scene...and looking at the BP pics, I noticed that the millionaires have gotten "hip"...or "hep" to the "rat rod" action....not a problem, but with all the****les of certain segments and styles of cars, I decided there is a need for a term to classify these types...(rich guys with ratty cars)...and decided they should be referred to as "Mink Rodders"(tm)....well...it's a rodent, isn't it??? If anyone chooses to use this term, I expect royalties....big cash royalties...so I can join the group of ...."people who can afford a car AND a bath"
Aw, you crotchety old cuss...there was plenty of BIKES...and even a few Trumps ya coulda spent all day droolin' over like a love-sick teen queen!!! You shoulda rode one of yours and entered the burnout contest... ...show 'em Honnicut Hot Rodding at it's finest!!
Ah yes, Mr. Hall was in attendance with his very nice primered fastback Olds. I didn't see him, only his car. I was looking for him though, wondering if he traded in his dress slacks and sweater for a pair of cuffed jeans and a white T with a pack of Lucky's in the sleeve. It appeared he left early. Having the right gear doesn't neccesarilly make you a player. I don't think "Mink Rodder" is too far off.
