Howdy all. Got turned on to this site by another fellow HAMBing newb... xtrm4xjp. Been lurking for a week or two, strolling through pics of the events and drooling over some of the deals in the for sale section. Will definately be doing some shopping there pretty quick, once I sell my old house. Previously had a 62 Fleetwood that was a great barn find. Saw it wrapped in plastic and made the guy an offer I was sure he'd refuse.... but he didn't. Showed up the next day with the truck, trailer, and a fist full of cash. Turned the key, drove it home and sent the trailer home empty. Entertained myself for a year with the repaint (no rust repair!!) and scavenging a couple chrome trim pieces. Couldn't find storage, so I sold it off, then it was re-sold and now it's living in S. Milwaukee (I'm stalking my old Caddy) Been doing the Jeep thing for the years since, but that hobby and I have gone different directions. Now I'm back wanting a cruiser... another old Caddy or a wagon (long roofs are king) That brings me back to here.... Also, hats off to the mods on this site. Got some good rules in place to keep it a friendly environment. Also like the 3-day BTT rule on the 4 sale section. Makes it fair to those pimping their stuff.
