love it or hate it, a boat load of folks turned out in Mount Airy last weekend for the 50th anniversary of the show and for Mayberry Days. I'll try and find a pic, but the Aunt Bee look alike in the parade was riding in an old school duece highboy!

After the Eddie Haskell rear end removal, they probably wrote it off and junked it!

Larry Mondello's mom was 65 because his Dad, Joe Mondello, was 80!
Uh, Mr, Mondello...What is your line of business?
    "Head porter."
Wow, you're the Head Porter? What do you make in tips?.....

    Tsshhh...k-Boom!

I'll watch any episode of Andy Griffith/Leave it to Beaver/The Munsters/Beverly HillBillies/I Love Lucy + many others before I'll watch any of the CRAP on TV today. These shows were well produced.

Leave it to Beaver --> I thought Wally's first car was a '53 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible? IMO, Larry Mondello was the funniest character on the show!!

Wally had a car before the '53 Chev. He bought a '35 or '36 Ford 5-window that him and the Beav cut up and sold for scrap since Ward said he couldn't keep it.
A couple other notable first cars:
    Greg Brady's '56 Chev Convertible
    Keith Partridge's early 50's Hudson
