IMG_5341.jpeg IMG_5340.jpeg IMG_5339.jpeg I’ve got a small block Chevy with Brownfield aluminum heads that I want to run in my '64 El Camino. Problem is it has angle plug heads and I’m not sure what headers will work. Some headers that state they work with angle plug heads have a note that it is only GM style angled plugs - I think that means they are just angled inwards and not rolled down as well like the Brownfields. Not been able to find a whole lot on Brownfield heads so not sure whether any more modern heads have the same plug angle.

Anyone run these heads or know a header that would work in my application?

IMG_0186.jpeg I have angle plug heads, I used a block hugger header for angle plug. Notice the primaries for the end cylinders bump out more for clearance. I also used shorter plugs for additional room. They are accel but I don’t have the part number at the moment View attachment 6539726

Thanks, looks like those are the GM style heads that angle the plugs in but don't roll them down like the Brownfields do. Don’t think shorties would work on the El Camino.

Brownfield turned into Air Flow Research (AFR); you might contact them and see if they have any info..

You may need to build a set of headers to fit your application. Give it a try. Some flanges, J bends and collectors. It's a fun skill to learn.

    If Not using Fenderwell headers
Make Sure header 's are for Angle plug heads ,,
Angle plug headers are even a better
Choice for regular straight plug heads
Spark plug clearance / room .

My experience with older brownfeild heads was for racing only. I agree you will probably have to build a set of headers, not only to clear the plugs and wires, but to fit the El Camino.

Not really looking to build headers for this or run fender wells - it's just supposed to be my daily. Probably going to put the motor in something that I can run fender wells on

They are certainly easier to build versus inside the frame.
