  1. Anyone remember seeing this Yellow Anglia in Upstate NY or PA back in the day? IMG_2521.JPG

Rich Carlson is (or was) the official NHRA Division 6 photographer. Sky and trees look like the PNW, and it looks to me that this photo was taken at Arlington Drag Strip, Washington State. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

    I agree with Butch.

  4. From what I've learned this car was raced in Ohio, possibly Dragway 42 ????

Dragway 42 would have been four-wide drag surface back in '66./ That doesn't look like 42 to me; its pretty flat around Salem OH.

    Bad chop job imo.

The Gary Lewis Willys was a west coast car. I agree, looks like the Pacific Northwest.

  7. The car is mentioned as the "Scotty's Drive-in Anglia". Racing at Puyallup Dragway in Washington state. On page 39 of the Larry Davis book G***er Wars. Could someone have seen it in Ohio? I am sure a lot of guy's went to the g***er capital trying to prove a point.

Just for the record, Salem Ohio is home to Quaker City Dragway. Dragway 42 is located in WEST Salem Ohio, 'bout 80 mi. apart.:D
Dunno what track that pic is, but we do have our far share of pine trees and hills in the ole Buckeye state.:D
