Can anyone tell me if there is a radiator on the market that will work in my 1948 Anglia without building one from scratch? Is there a radiator that will fit? THis is to install with a 283/350 v-8 motor in. Just thought there may be one already out there without paying an arm and a leg for. THank you!
i have used a 33/34 ford , a alloway speedstar radiator, and a griffen dragster 17x18....all were aluminum, and all took some fitting. the 33/34 fit between the stock frame rails and was angled back. it could have stood to have been about a 1" narrower , as it had some issues with my gl*** 1 pc nose. i had one made for a hamb'r on here for his ute....prc (performance rod and custom evansville indiana) made it custom . might be worth a check. brandon
I would search here... http://www.racingjunk.com/search?searchString=radiator&search=Go there are some outta price range, but some reasonable... other than this, I would check into a small custom made aluminum. They aren't as pricey as you might think. I've also heard small Japanese models with cooling fans will do the job, but not sure which ones. (240Z, Suzuki Samurai, etc.) you might do some research in that direction.
Hey , funny I'm having one built right now by Superior Radiator (586-463-8722 ) they post on Ebay. $220 bucks to my specs. Aluminum 2 row 1" tubes , he said he sold to guys with 510 BBC and with electric fan works great . Oh this is in Michigan .
