No pics yet, but I "saved" a '50 Ford Business Coupe and a '51 Ford Tudor Custom Deluxe from the Missouri River floods that plagued us here in Nebraska this summer. Rescued them from a barn that was a week from going underwater. Got them both for $2500, and sold the '50 for parts for $2800. Keeping the '51 since it cost me -$300. Got the 8ba running in an afternoon, planning on a mild custom.

I bought this 56 century off a fellow Hamber in late October. I have lowered it, put in some cheap temp carpet, and slapped on some caps. Starting on engine and trans rebuild this week.

Wow Mcfly!!! I've been staring at your avatar the whole time thinking "you son of a bitch" but now that I'm seeing it large I really hate you!!!

Does anyone else want to punch CHRIS in his face for all the cars he bought this year?

I bought a '34 Sedan a month ago and sold it a few weeks later. That was it though.

This was setting in a guys garrage since 1989 till I bought it. I don't know if I've saved it yet. Still isn't running!

I bought this from the HAMB classifieds this summer. Got it home this fall and have been slowly picking away at it.

  10. More great scores! I'm really surprised I have to bump this again!

    Keep it coming!

  11. about the only thing I can say I saved was a '32 Stude Rockne body out of the you-pick yard. Yes, someone sold it for scrap... I bought it in pieces, hood, cowl, doors, rear body, top.. then they scrapped the rolling chassis with the complete drivetrain in it.

But I got a ton of parts out of there - someone else brought in a '51 Merc coupe, so I nabbed the roof, doors, and quarters; a '52 Olds gave up a clock steerng wheel and the valve covers and taillights; a '56 Packard Patrician gave up the taillights and grille; I could probably have kept going on some of them for a long time. There was a '52 Chevy there from out west someplace, it had some of the usual rot but was good enough I cut all the body mounts out of it for mine, along with a couple of floor patches and the tail pan, and two really nice front fenders. Some ridiculous stuff in the yards this summer.

Bought this old straight axle 55 a few weeks ago as a stalled project. The owner was going to replace the frame to do away with the straight axle and replace the quarters to fix the radius. I am glad he decided to give up. It is getting a fresh 327, Muncie 4 speed and some safety updates before spring.

Bought a 49 Buick 248cid straight eight. Don't even have a car to put it in- I just saw it sitting out in the weather and took it home like a stray dog. So, currently I would call it "SAVED" but someday it might get saved again- saved from rotting away in my workshop!

  20. Just got this 32 Roadster....proven driver with nice patina. Got some 10" headlights and a front bumper for it....SBC/Auto. Also, a 1948 Chrysler NYer bought from only the 2nd owner.
And a 1949 Hudson that sold to a fella in the Bahamas.

Slow year for me, but I did look in the magazine bin at the Town Recycling Center and pulled out 135 Haynes and Clymer repair manuals along with some now to Hot Rod soft cover books. Thank you eBay, it helped buy some '30 Roadster parts.
