1st one is my recent save... 41 chevy truck from a field in central texas... 2nd one is a 54 dodge pickup not more than 2 miles from there... when I bought this 54 the lady said well there are alot of vehicles down the street like this do you want to go there? I was like hell yeah... and 3rd one is a 49 international I had for a little while saved from a crusher by 2 hrs... sold to a fellow hamber and I also had a 61 impala 4dr hardtop bought from a friend and sold to a fellow hamber.

  2. This year was probably my best yet as far as Hot Rodding is concerned. Being only 28 and having limited limited funds, I was able to score some pretty neat pieces...

    Lets see...
    - got a package deal on 28 Sport coupe (avatar) and homemade RPU body
    - bought a 33 pickup project that came with a tunnel ram 406 SBC, 9 inch, and a M20 muncie
    - a super solid 39 Ford sedan project
    - And scored 2 free engines (Merc flatty and just found out yesterday I'm being given a 402 BBC that was in a late model stock car in the 70's).

Gotta give a big thanks to fellow Hot Rodder/HAMBER who also just happens to be my dad for helping me out on the 33 and 39!

2011 was good to this young fella!

  5. I picked this up out of Wisconsin in June. I had been dealing on it since September of 2010..... patience pays off. It had been off the road 35+ years. I bought it from an older gentleman who had stalled on it. All the hard stuff is done and will be restored to original so likely isn't too HAMB friendly.

Bought this beauty! An all original 1936 Dodge 1/2 ton LC pickup with accessory 20" wheels. Bought it from the original family, and it hasn't been driven until I got it since 1949. New OEM tires, rebuilt brakes, distributor tune up kit and it fired right up and I drive it everyday, I couldn't be more happy.

Some stuff I bought this year....The 4 door sedan is a '31 Plymouth I bought for $100.00 , sold it to a buddy for $500.00 to make a flower pot out of for his front yard...lol , the next is a '38 Ford Truck with an 59A-B flathead in it , I still haven't been ablw to go pick this one up yet , I paid for itback in June....lol , the next is a '46 Ford coupe , I still have this for sale in the classifieds , its flat black and has red wheels with painted whitewlalls...lol , the '55 hardtop was a runner , didnt take too long to move this little beauty , and I still have this '41 chevrolet coupe , it has new floors , new trunk , new gastank , new brake lines , new fuel lines , runs and drives , someone want to make my new years good and come get this one?

I bought an O/T '68 Dodge D-100 shortbox stepside that is currently being blown apart, rebuilt and painted to be driven next summer...I'm ditching the /6 and column shift 3spd for a 361 big block and 727...it'll be my parts hauler done in late 60's musclecar fashion with polished slot mags, white letter tires, M/T valve covers, Mallory ignition, Howard's cam, Cal Custom steering wheel, Hurst ratchet shifter, SW greenline gauges and '70 'Cuda style side exit exhaust ala AAR Dan Gurney 'Cuda...yeah, it's totally opposite of anything I'm normally into, but it helps me get rid of all those late 60's parts I've got laying around...

I'm looking for 5x4.5 pattern slot mags and SW greenline gauges, hint hint ;)...

Hmm,I guess Its gone from what did you buy/save this year, to what did you buy/sell this year.

I guess we have saved them all,now we are just trading them around,It does seem like Im not seeing as many new builds lately.

  22. Yeah, someone beat me to it this year ;)
