Carb cleaner in the sewer? That might screw up your lagoon!

  2. I was checking in for pictures. I need to make it out there one of these days!

  3. Yep, thanks to all that came and Jay and Angie. Opening up your place to a bunch of hoodlums like us is very cool. :) I really miss hanging with good friends since we tend to live a ways appart. This was a good Fix.

And for the record, I didn't break the speedster, it was that way whe I got in the seat!

I've spent the day working on my computer, (I think I actually have the issues worked out, yay me!), dialing my Galaxie back in after uncovering a potential problem, assembling a seat for my nephew to ride on the back of his Grandma's bike, letting said nephew drive the Galaxie (that made his day!) and general family hanging out. The reason for story is to say I'm just now getting to the pics haaha. I'll post some as soon as I can!!!

Jay, you are a great host. Your continued hard work to put something together that is really special has paid off. It may not be the largest gathering out there, but it sure is a good bunch. It was great to see everyone.

To Jay and all the HAMBERS thanks for the hospitality to a newbee!! My first time and I like it "rough" ( traveling in 40-50 mph winds that is). Wish I could have stayed longer on sat. but wife and daughter called. PROM! Is was an awesome drive home Sat. What a beautiful day. Thanks again.

    What a great weekend.

It started off interestingly for sure, with the 3/4" hail at my place Thursday after Mike barnfindT and St Nick arrived from Denver. We were in a tornado warning for awhile, I guess one touched down north of town about 10 miles away.

It was a cold, windy, cloudy dreary day Friday, but the shoulders came out of the smoker looked and smelled so good.

That is- until I went into the house and my wife had made some fresh banana bread- oh man that smelled great!

St Nick and Mike braised up some ribs for Friday night and Greezy brought some homemade mac-n-cheese.

Unfortunately- that's all the pics I took this year. But Nate and Dwayne and Travis and Kevin took a bunch.

Saturday started out chilly, I saw some frost on Nate's truck. I had the heat on high in the impala on the way to breakfast, top down. Thanks to the staff at Sweet Daddy's for being so accomodating, it was really good.

The Eisenhower Center was awesome, as always. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling in the area.

By noon, the weather was warming up nicely, and we headed to my house and ate. The beef brisket I smoked came out pretty good. Thanks again to Prototypedesignflauz for the beans, yummy! Thanks to GuiseArt's parents for helping out. Nate and Zach for pulling pork. Dallas for the Sunday breakfast sausage. Randy for the box of nos parts to dole out. Jeff for the movies. Mike and Bob for helping so much. My wife for helping and being such a great hostess. Donavan for helping with the kids. Everyone who donated for the auction for Luke's family and Bill for running it. Thanks Greg for the etching- it is beautiful.

I just had such a great time, I can't even process it all quite yet.

    THANK YOU!!!!

As usual had a great time. Good food, good friends cant ask for anymore than that. And yes I was also relegated to daily driver status.

    Hi Jay...
Thank you so very much for hosting this fab event again... I got home Monday night, after fighting high head winds all day, down US54 again. Came down with something right away, and have one eye about closed up so haven't been processing photos much yet..

Did have one super treat on the way home..Got to Tucumicari just in time to run a bunch of photos on the Blue Swallow Motel on Route 66. It is now open after a nice rehab over the past winter.... Will post these photos at end of my BBQ photos so you all can see..

Thanks to Nate, Travis and others, including Mrs. No Surf for all the great photos!...

Here is my link to photos taken... Many comments to be added in time.. http://www.pbase.com/nmsandrail/2011_mid_west_hamb_bbq

THANK YOU all again... Sure enjoyed the fellowship!.:):):)..
