A few pics from the day !! The weather was perfect with NO WIND !! That hardly ever happens when a cookout is involved. This reminds me that I need to get to thrashing on my coupe !! >>>>.

I got ribbed for this all weekend.
I guess it's 'traditional' at least for me.
This shot was taken about two hours after I broke in the new cam in the all new engine.
Air pocket in the engine. Temp spiked ,but all it needed was a little more fuild. Ran perfectly the rest of the weekend. Seem I can't get away from trashing to get to an event.
Early on, I trashed all night just to get to the first KC Speed and Power run I went on....
I actually started this swap over a week and a half ago, just to be side-lined by a metal shard in the eye (yes, again...).
It made for some really exciting driving this weekend.

Day-amn! I missed it again! Welp, we had company from outta town anyway...couldnt' get away but I will for sure next year...and I'll break in my new [bought it 6-7 years ago and haven't used it yet] teardrop camp trailer...

 

Looks like it was a good time two years in a row I had to work. Maybe next year.
