    Hi,

I am 23, from salt lake city, I have been into cars since I have been able to drive. Initially I got started in the import world but have matured so to speak and found hot rods and customs. still have an itch for imports but right now its kinda been there done that, and I havent been there and done that with a cl***ic car yet.

I am tinkering with a 1975 yamaha XS650, building a pretty budget hardtail.

I have just recently started attending our community college, studying collision repair and refinishing. I am currently looking to pick up a 58 Impala to give me something to work on through school and after.

Good to hear we've got some new blood interested in traditional hot rods. Post some photos of that Impala when you get a chance. Keep up the good work. RGV

I do not have one YET. Hopefully on my small budget I can pick up a rough one and go from there.

I am not totally heart set on having one of these there are soo many that I would like to own. I wanted to start with this though cause I do like them but my dad has always talked about how if he could have a single cl***ic car he would pick up one of those. I would like to build it with him, Something that will make us spend more time together. Whatever I build with him I will not be getting rid of.

Whatever I get I will get pictures up on here...

Welcome,I sure wished there was something like this when I started, all we had was magazines and movies. Looks like you have a plan, keep working on your skills even if your work career gets sidetracked. At the very least it`s a great hobby. I worked almost all my life as a mechanic and it was good to me.58 `s are rare but I like the style, everybody wants a tri 5 I would love to have a custom 58 Impala. Have fun Jerry :D
