Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 36-3window, Jun 16, 2006.

  1. just took this for it's first cruise , every thing seems to be fine. original steel body , black primer , cornhusker ch***is , 327/365 horse(solid lifters) with th350 , 9 inch ford with 3.50 gears....it sure does go

a few more things like the top insert , door gl*** , p***enger side headlight and it should be ready for Back to the 50's

Nice ride! I really like the stance , it has a real jalopy look.

I love it. A bulletproof combination of parts & a killer look.

Has anything been done to lower the rear end an inch or two more than most highboys? Or is it just the stock top with no fenders that's throwing me off? Whatever it is, I like it.

That thing screams "traditional hot rod", at least in my book anyway. Great job. Can't wait to see it at the Btt50's. :)

Only one small complaint, if that's possible on such a *****in car. Couldn't you talk the customer into doing a 4/5 speed? IMO, that combination just screams 3 pedals. I'm available to put the first 50,000 miles on it, you know, just to make sure everything is OK. and the owner won't hurt himself:eek:   :D

It's always the simple, subtle cars that blow my mind. I love that 3-window.

Looks great and no chop too. Someday I'll have one of those.

  15. thank you all for the kind words...i really don't consider myself the builder of this one , i just screwed it together from parts the guy gave me. he is a great scrounger , a lot of used parts from swap meets..like a used walker radiator , used gauges ,used carb , etc. he dumped off the pile of parts two months ago.

frank...yes , a 4 or 5 speed would be nice..not my choice as you know. thanks for the offer to test it...i gave it a good "test" this afternoon. i wanted to make sure the driveshaft and rear axles would hold up..p***ed the test OK

the guy just told me today that he is very busy and wouldn't be able to pick it up until after Back to the 50's..i may be driving it there

tom , it does seem like all i work on is 3 windows...this will make 5 in a row , three 32's , one `33 , and this `34. what's next? finish the `40 ford sedan delivery i have been working on ( should be done by the end of july) , a `40 ford convertable , a `32 ford pickup......and then i'm done! that's it , no more working on other peoples cars....only my own
