To me period correct and guide lines is a Gray subject. Back when I was a Pup we used what was at hand or could afford. Hot Rods always seemed to be evolving, newer, better, bigger parts, brakes and motors. The only people that stopped changing there Hot Rods either gave up or had run out of $$$$. To me Period Correct only means what day of the week it was. The Wizzard
Now you got it! At least for you and me! Back to fun in the garage! OK now lets see more of this cool 30 Roadster
Are you kidding me? You don't think this is "traditional hot rod" enough for this site???? A real deal steel 1930 Coupe built and RACED in the 60s with boxed frame, dropped model A axle, 1957 Oldsmobile rear end, Stewart Warner gauges, looks like bias plys, old upholstery, etc etc. Just because it's got a crate motor, a T5 and disc brakes? Really? Then you need to read more threads, because A LOT of people here have street roddish or OT rides.
Nice pic of the Queen Mary....and your car is killer. Sent from my SCH-I535 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Ok....getting back to this cool Trad rod (with a couple modern concessions...big deal) it looks like you could benefit from cutting pockets in to your floor pan so you can sit in between the rails instead of on top....you're already having way more fun by buying a complete car and tailoring it to suit than the 93% of us who are just bench racing or 1/2 finished our projects ;-)
