that once a vehicle is repaired, that it's as good as new. It's like what
childbirth does to a woman's body; it ain't ever gonna be the same!
The replacement of any structural metal that needed to be heated,
had relief cuts made into it, or welds made into or on it, would go a
long ways towards restoring the vehicle to its' pre accident condition.
Any sheetmetal panel that has been stretched, torn, hammered, weld
ed, shrunk, ground or filed , by no means has the same 'strength',
as when it was first stamped. A good metalman knows this, and will
do everything he can to insure that all of his efforts go toward restor-
ing strength in all areas of the repair. And no, this isn't done using
.750" of plastic filler!
