Don't know what you paid for it. Looks nice. Engine was never fired? Who ***embled it?
Get a statement from your machine shop. Threaten legal action. If "Brad" does not respond, take him to court. With a vengeance.

Nice looking car and you can use the stock steering box by steering off the right spindle. I went through all kinds of hell trying to get mine right.

Finally got the body shell painted. The color is Hot Rod Flatz midnight blue. The paint is a bit$% to lay down. You really have to lay it on heavy, to the point where you would bet it would run. I placed two seperate orders from TCP global for the paint. Turns out the paints DO NOT match each other. Hope I have enough to finish the rest of the car or a 3rd batch will have to be ordered and i'm sure it would be a different shade of blue also. Sprayed the underside with 3m body shutz. Pretty good stuff.

Getting color on is good and bad. Its good because your that much closer to being done and its bad because things start getting expensive: interior, trim, gl***, wheels and tires, exhaust, electrical uhh! the list goes on and on. But, that's what makes it addicting.

Thanks everyone. Waiting for a call from my engine builder for dyno time. Really want to get the drivetrain in place before setting the body back on.

Well, I lost my patience and put the body on before setting the drivetrain in. Began wiring and some ***embly. Just finished painting the doors. Hope to have them on this weekend. I've been busy media blasting all the small stuff, window regulators, hood hinges, gl*** channels etc.

Got the doors painted and put on. Electrical is about 50% done. Hoping to dyno the motor this weekend.

I really like the look of the swade blue paint. I did mine in black...i think yours looks very unique in that fashion. is that getting a tilt nose?

Thanks for the compliments. I'm struggling with the front end. It's currently set up for the original rad. support, fenders, etc. However, I think a tilt would look *****n. The original fenders and hood are in excellent condition so I really don't want to cut or weld on them. Any opinions?Tilt or no Tilt?

Otto, is your front a tilt? If so, how do you keep the fenders from rubbing the doors?

Well I made my tilt mech so the nose rolls forward a few inches before it tilts in upward angle ... I didn't use track system I made a single attach point on nose so it can pivot when you are opening nose... Hard to explain but it works great

Thanks Otto. I'll be doing some research on tilts now. After reading a bunch of threads it sounds like nobody makes a fibergl*** frontend worth a sh@#.

Let me say up front I like what your build looks awesome so far. Now let me apologize I'm not trying to hijack your thread but sounds like a lot of g***er builders are watching. So here's my question. I would love to build me a g***ed at some point and was just wondering why everyone does front stubs? Why not put straight axel on stock frame? How would they have done it in the early 60s let's say. Anyway thanks for letting me jump in here and look foward to more progress.;)

People still use stock frames for that but when you stub it as you say it saves over a 100 pounds at least

Well, finally got the motor dynoed. The dyno started reading at 4100 rpm, torque was 480@4100 & 460HP at 5400. Interesting enough it still made 457 hp @5900. Timing was set at a conservative 32 degrees. 1ST pull was 450 hp and 2nd pull was 460. Builder said it was starting to break in and should continue to make another 10-15 hp. Really happy with the motor and the builder. Very straight forward no nonsense guy. Can't wait to put it in the 55. The specs on the motor are:

    355 sbc
    Brodix IK 200 heads
    Comp valve train
    4340 forged rotating ***embly
    10:1 compression
    750 quick fuel
    Weiand 144 blower
Studded 4 bolt with splayed caps
    Plugged deck.
