I have posted a few pics on a couple other threads. Figure I'd start my own. This is my winter project, and with any luck, it will be out this spring. Hopefully this will inspire a few here who love the 60's gasser look. A picture is worth a 1000 words....

Looking Good Baron..........nice job, the only thing I would do ... is fab up a alternator bracket lower, down towards the crank...........That would really clean up the engines apearance up top..........Good choice for an engine..Have fun Littleman, they make smaller alternators.but it all looks great..

Picking away at it. Steering is almost done. Radiused the rear wheelwells for the Hoosier 315/60R-15s Drag radials will just peek outside the quarters(mounted on 10 inch Cragars).

Thanks! The rear wheel wells look better filled up with the
315/60R-15 Hoosier DOT Drag radials on 10" Cragars.

Finished the steering today so now it's a "roller" once again. Made up the upper front shock mounts and will do the lowers this coming week. Have a set of Comp Eng adjustable frt shocks(90-10 to 60-40). That will pretty much finish the front suspension and then I'll start on the rear. Going with a 9 inch Ford, mounted to the rear springs with a lower pivot /perch set up in conjunction with the S&W Race Cars 42" long " Gasser Ladder bars".

Neat car. A bold combination of interesting components artfully arranged. Keep us advised as you progress.

Radiator support and radiator mount are finished.Six bolts, disconnect the radiator hoses and the nose came be removed(keeping it simple). There were a couple of small spots on the floors that needed a little attention and I finished that today(a job that has to be done, but not much fun...) Next project will be welding in new rear mounts for the front spring. Going to raise the car about 1 1/2 inches at the rear mount. Then finish the lower shock mounts and install the CE 90/10 adjustable frt shocks. Once that is finished,I will turn my attention to the back of the car, installing the 9" Ford and S&W ladder/Gasser bars. Now that's all fun stuff to do :)

That sucker looks mean as hell in that last pic.My old man had a 55 150 in 1961 that he swapped a 392 into out of a 300C.I have always had a soft spot for these kind of motor swaps .More power to you my friend...

    Thanks guys.
John. All I did was piecut the bottom of the tubing to give them the taper, cut/round the end of the tubing to the shape I wanted , and bent and welded some 1/8" x 2"steel to cap the ends.I may still reshape them to make them a little rounder before I paint the chassis(also going to add the mounts for the Moon tank).
Just got back from vacation. Can't wait to get back to work on it.
