Butch, those new wheels look killer. That little motor is gonna be a screamer. I have an old ANSEN scattershield for a tri-five has the frame mount style mounting.75.00 if you need it. By the way it's a heavy mother&8%#.My little motor is a 350 punched 30 over,STD. DZ302 Crank and rods.12.5 slugs ported and polished 2.02 heads, tunnel ram,4-speed 4:56 gears.Keep those photos coming.FALFA

Butch: Are you going to put a straight axle in it? I met the guy that builds axles for Speedway a couple of years ago at the Wichita swap meet. Maybe you know him. He built me one to my specs and was great to deal with.

I like the axle that Gasser55 put on his blue 55 altered, The drop looks less than a 49-54 axle and places the wheel closer to the fender. Anyone know what axle he has???

I vote in! Are those 10" inch americans on the back? I had a set of 10"s With 3" And 3/4" back space on my old 55 I has in the mid 90's, I put the springs inboard, centered the gas tank and put 2 inch blocks on the back. Has 275/60 tire. I put a 57 ford nine inch rear in it. It was real low for then. I sold it A long time ago. Have a 56 2-door post project waiting for some metal work and straight axle.

Looks great, fast work too. It should be a screamer with that drivetrain. Exactly what I am dying to do to a 55 2 dr wagon, just need the wagon body and frame..I think the Chevy truck axle is the way to go...keep your GM all GM.

Butch, the slicks look good. I would put disc on the front for your own safety. You never know when the local idiot will pull out on you. Keep up the good work. FALFA
