Guys, My name is Dusty and after hearing about this board for a while, I finally gave in. It is too good to pass up. You all have got it figured out and I am glad this great knowlege will not fall through the cracks and fade away. About me, I love traditional rods and customs and muscle cars, can't stand imports, and like 'em loud and fast. I have followed hot rods since I took my first ride in my grandpa's 'vette powered and Hurst shifted 55 Chevy over 20 years ago! My Mom taught me how to ID hot rods as we drove down the highway and Dad and uncles made sure I knew how to fab and wrench the right way. Right now I have a 67 Mustang that was my first car, it has a pumped up 351W, flat black paint and chrome Daisy wheels. It looks so good on rods, why not on a muscle car. Someday I plan to paint it, but I am having too much fun and it gets a lot more conversation than those trailer queens. My newest toy is a 67 chevy K-10. It was a 70s hotrod truck and I want to keep the look. I know it wasn't that Old School, but it a survivor of a by-gone era. It has 70's interior, and old school engine hop ups, an AFB and Torker single plane. It really rips at the high side of the vintage Sun tach! I appreciate the oportunity and look forward to making some of the events and meeting other members. Keep it up and keep e'm on the road and off a trailer(unless you grenaded something!)
