i say fuck em..fuck the whole lot of em...go a head and pass your sissy little rules..and i'll thumb my fuckin nose at your politics as i burn a set of cokers off while burning as much fossil fuel as i can to put a plume of carbon on the white house masonry. Dont tread on me! there i feel better now
thanks for letting us know. I think I just sent my first letter to a congressman. I think they may think it is better for the economy of everybody buys a new $27,000 Prius every four years. It's still grates me that they don't count the carbon footprint of all the manufacturing of all the new disposable cars we keep buying. I would like to drive what I have for the rest of my life, which means no current auto manufacturer will ever get a penny from me. just a thought...
Starting in 2010, all over the road trucks WILL have to meet stronger emissions standards. Engines are being developed right now by the big names in diesel to help with the problem. Don't just point at the big rigs. And , California, moans over poured out milk over anything because that state's polticians are complete morons. Lets do what we can to stop this stupidness!
I drove my 1992 Subaru for 250000 miles until it just about rusted into the ground and was facing $800+ in repair bills soon and not likely to make it through inspection. So I sold it for $250- and bought a Prius. Figured I had to have something so I might as well get 45 mpg for a while and hope that someday-- A-the replacement battery packs will be down to $29.95 and B somebody will figure out how to recycle them. In the meantime, my $4.00 a gallon gas costs me 8 cents a mile instead of the 16 it used to. Oh, and I didn't get the 6 speed CD changer or the leather trimmed seats or the out of date GPS built in to the dash, but I got all of the other stuff and it was $25K to walk out the door-taxes and tags included.
