Hi all, heard so much about this site I thought I would join up. I was into car models since I was little and at the age of 15 I gave them up and switched to the real things when I bought my first car mag, 1964 summer issue of Popular Customs, still have it and have bought another 10,000 since (cataloged). Along the way have built many rods and muscle cars but now that I am semi-retired I picked up a bunch of parts and am starting to build again. A 'T' truck and a modified. Tradional, old school or back-in-the-day is my style of choice. I guess you could say my high school dream 40 years late. Hope to learn and hope to help. I apologize if I spewed too much.

Thanks Dave. Living in Oshawa. No pics on the projects but am tempted to post in the future. Right now all the T and the modified are collections of parts jammed into my garage. I just moved so until I expand the shop this spring I can't unpack it. The T has glass fenders, grill and the cowl of a bucket the rest will be homemade. A closed cab with about a 4 foot flatbed on the back but small and funky like a late 60's bucket. The modified will be built after the T and is intended for street/competition. A steel 1920's grill from ?? and a set of headlights, early chrysler maybe, rest homemade. The idea is to use my racing knowledge to build a hot rod racer that will blow away the imports etc. at slalom races and track days at Mosport but still look as traditional as I can keep it.

welcome aboard, always good to see other 'nucks here. The projects sound pretty cool you should post pics. If you need a bed for that pick-up i have a shortened one that might be up for sale or trade if you are interested. You'll be glad you joined up here, lots of good info and good people.
