You guys have been giving me some great advice on carbs for my 54 chevy. I bought a 3x1 Offy manifold and I'm seriously thinking of going with three carter 574 carbs. Found a guy who has them but they are not rebuilt and wants $150 a shot. This sound like the going price or is that a little high. He said the carbs are complete minus linkage and misc parts I won't need.
$150 a piece for Carter W-1s that need to be rebuilt? Keep looking. I don't know how many swap meets you have around where you are, but around here, W-1s in that condition can usually be found for $10-$20.
