    Thanks Bjinatj

I am going out to try and finish off more stuff. I have to get a oil cooler for it because I can not use the original radiator that it came with. The oil lines come out of the block. It is a 1994 454 c.i.

Looks like it's gonna be a cool ride! What are you doing to minimize the engine hump in the middle of the cab? I'm using a 41 Chevy COE on a 7.3L Powerstroke and this is one of the issues I'll face. Anxiously awaiting your next posts on your build. Love it.

I wonder about minimizing the hump in the cab too. My cab is a '39 Chev, which may be even more compact than the '41 and later cab.

I think they are the same cab. I am finally able to start back on mine but unfortunately I had come back to reality and decided it is best to build this as a nice work truck.

Does anyone know what I can use for an alternative for my oil lines coming out of the block. This truck had an oil cooler built in the radiator and it has pressure type fitting on the ends. Can I cut these off and use clamps to hook these lines to an external oil cooler?

Yes you can. But do it with some good line connectors. Not just hose and clamps. Good luck with the build. I love driving my COE.One of my favorite vehicles.

As long as the oil cooler dumps into the oil pan and not into oil galley lines on the block, you can use clamps. My truck had trans, engine, and power steering lines to the radiator,, all pressure in and non pressure dump,, with barbed fittings and clamps. Picture is of said truck that I have since sold,, 40 Diamond T on 79 Chev 1 ton step van chassis.

Well I was sketching out some ideas and this is where I am heading for sure. I plan to fill the upper grille in the hood area and I am putting in 39 Ford headlights rather than the originals. I should be gettinf a donor cab soon then all hell will break loose :D anyways this is where I am leaning with the finished look.
