Greetings from Northern Colorado. I'm a newbie here but I've been messing with cars all my life. I've built budget race cars in the past, work on modern efi equipped stuff, do fab work in my shop and wheel a built not bought Cherokee on the local trails. But my passion has always been British sports cars. Primarily the smaller Triumphs. Good basic cheap little cars. Exotic to some, but pretty backwards and primitive compared to most of their American counterparts of the time. I current have a pretty nice survivor '61 Herald convertible and a beater matte blue MKIV Spitfire (builts from about 10 cars on the cheap) registered and on the road. What leads me to this board is my next project, hot-rodding a Triumph Herald hard top vintage style. I'm not looking to build some fire breathing 600hp V8 pro-street monster, but something with an uprated British power plant while keeping it simple. In case you guys don't know, the Herald looks like a miniature '55 Chevy, weight about 1600# and shares just about everything with it's little brother the Spitfire. Anywhoo, happy to be here and I look forward to future postings and feedback.
