Man the cancer deal hits home for me and it sucks...why does it take some and leave others. I remember that episode very well and my thoughts and prayers go out to the friends and family.

I want to thank everyone for their condolences on this site. Many people have asked how they can help, so a Richard Schroeder Fund has been set up to help cover the medical and travel costs, as my dad was in Cleveland, not home when this happened. www.schrodo.com www.focusthis.com Richard Schroeder Fund National City Bank 1272 SOM Center Road Mayfield Heights, OH 44124 Chris Schroeder legera@gmail.com

Thank-you Jesse for the pictures, I never saw those, they made me and Beaux smile just remembering how he would drag himself home swearing to leave all that building to the young guns. But, by the next day all was forgotten and he was at it again like he was the young gun.He really liked you, and signed up for the jet episode to make sure no one talked you into something that could kill you!!!!!!! To eveyone else all the wonderful memories you have re-gifted us is invaluable Thank-you for being part of our world. Please visit his site SCHRODO.COM for more stories and pictures/videos. We love to hear more from all of you.

Always tough to lose someone who's taught ya something. Good news for Jesse, and others I'm sure, is that Richard will live on through the work and skill he imparted on them. RIP

another fellow Ohioian gone, I have lost so many relatives from there to cancer,I can't even keep track. At least he got to spend his final days looking out at the lake. I would rather do that then die staring at some hospital wall, my grandmother died in that same hospice center.

Cancer it touches everyone, lost a long time mentor and hot rod friend a few years back to pancreatic, my brother is fighting Lung cancer. I am tired of loosing good friends.

The hotrodworld once again, is a little more lonley than yesterday.

Thanks to Jesse for having him on his show, along with the episode with the shoebox chevy chop with all the "guys" who were doing it back then,
gave everyone a chance who never met these guys to see masters at work, and prove if you can dream it you can build it.

All we can do is continue the fight, pick up the flag where they left off and continue doing it for the love.

And feel fortunate we knew them....

  28. I met him at Milan and he took his time with my 8 yr.old daughter and she was thrilled with his aurograph. She still has it 18 years later.
    He will be mised .
