Coupe is still for sale! More health issues so it needs to go.

Sold the coupe beginning of September. Went to new home in Oklahoma. New owner very happy.
My health has been in check. Had another operation last Monday. Removed a parathyroid and cyst.
So after the coupe was sold my wife asked me "now what are you going to do all winter?"
So I did what any hot rod guy would do! Yep, bought another five window.
Bought this on from Wisconsin. I've had it a few weeks now and have been working on it as much as my old bones will allow. Car has a nice body and well done chop by Steadfast.
Very nice interior also. The rest is going to need my attention. Now I have something to do this winter and I won't be in the way of my bride.:)

    pictures pictures!
    Glad your feeling better.
I too had a parathyroid removed a year ago. I didn’t realize those things existed. Doc told me those things creating too much calcium will cause a whole host of major issues.
    I’m doing well.

Glad you're doing well. Not sure what's going on with me. I think it was the hormone and radiation that has me very weak and in pain. I'll post some photos soon.

    Mark,
In thinking about this, I believe the title of this thread would make a great movie or epic novel. One thing is certain: these cars leave your garage much improved compared to how they enter it.
Best wishes for you and this “new chapter”!

Changed all the lubricants this week. Looked like it was never done. The Mitchell overdrive was never properly serviced either. Rear shocks will get a redo next . Remounted gas tank yesterday. Also redid a wire cover before I cut myself on it. Something's on car done so well like interior then other stuff just not up to my standards. Not feeling all that great today so I only finished off the trunk bottom rail. Had to install missing rubber stops. Because of thickness of trunk upholstery I had to modify them.
Also put end fasteners in place. Trunk shuts nice and tight now . My rule, if it there it should be used. Whether it's a hole or a component .I just keep plugging away.
I know, where are the photos? I just get involved and forget to take pics.

I can understand the windshield wiper not being connected, what are the chances of being out in the rain?

Not the point! And I've been caught in the rain many times. Point being if it's on the car it should work. Yes that involves electricity. Sorry Bob!:p

IMG_9144.jpeg IMG_9160.jpeg Tb33anda3rd trailered the coupe for me today to get a vin verification. Just need an appointment with the DMV now to get it registered before I start digging in to this project.
Now I ask you , am I being too anal because I'm going to move all this fuel stuff out of the drivers compartment. Seems absolutely insane to mount the fuel lines and pressure regulator inside the car. I don't care if the car has two fire extinguishers!

I agree terrible location for the fuel lines and regulator. Looks to be a solid '32 and with your experience will turn out great. Ron

Amazing how nice the car looks and then we see how crazy some details are. The fuel pressure regulator being one while its a good quality Holley regulator with a bypass to flow fuel back to the tank the location is suicide for sure.
Mark I think its going to be a very busy winter getting things up to your standards. ;)

This fuel situation floored me. Certainly goes in the "What Were They Thinking" file.
I can't even count how many things I've done already. I'm enjoying the work . Having a Winter project also insures my marriage will survive another year!:D

Hi @ct1932ford, I been out of the loop...I just did some backtracking as I saw a Chopped Coupe. I thought you brought it down to earth but nope!! You sure do have a high bar and it shows. The new Hotrod is really looking like another familiar ride you had...awesome.

You are in my thoughts and I commend you for your spirit in kicking it the hell out of you...no easy feat...

May be one of the major reasons the former owner sold it. Looking forward to seeing you safely relocate things.

    Mark,
Can’t comprehend why the fuel stuff would be put there and wouldn’t want it that way in my car. Good call moving it!

The work on the fuel system was done well. Also good quality parts and probably never will be an issue but I'll sleep better if I change it. That's just me.

WOW!! That’s one nice looking coupe! Thanks for taking us along on the upgrades.

Yes, definitely move the fuel stuff. Are those Pushlok(tm) fittings? I see no clamps. Clean.
