You should have left it in Missouri. My buddy Jeremy just bought a Channeled '40 Merc with a Cad in it from there and he needs to go pick it up. Would have given me another reason to go to HAMB drags. Hahaha!!! I do want it though....:D

Damn that car is awesome. Congrats on the find.

  5. We shall continue to NOT be friends Chris, lol. This will go nice with the 15 or so 41 ford pickups you have, or had. (probably gone by now!)

Awesome score. There is a cherry plymouth (i think it was a plymouth) convertible in the cl***ifieds section on here, its yellow, it reminds me of the one Daniel-Son waxed in the Karate Kid, but I cant remember what kind that one was either, but it was yellow, and it was a vert!

Wow, that's great. '41s are the best year of that body-style.

Congratulations on a great score--and on getting way ahead of the game by doing something I have never mastered: buying a complete car.

If that'd been me, I would have looked at the $11,000 and gone, "Naw, I know where there's a shell missing half the parts for $4,500. I think I'll buy THAT one." And then, $15,000 later ... .

Please post some pix of the front seat after you clean it, and if you need anybody to shine the garnish moldings, let me know. I just bought a fresh can of Nev-R-Dull.

Chris, that is a great car! I can't wait to get my 47 tudor on the road. The stance on your 41 tudor is perfect, how did you have it setup? Congrats on the new convert.

You do know that your getting on the nerves of a few people here don't you?:) Actually most are just jealous and afraid to admit it. I'm thinking you could make a good income doing seminars on locating and buying old cars...............I'd sign up for at least a semester.:D

Trust me, I do not have a lot of money. Every time I buy a car, one has to leave. It's not like I'm hoarding all this junk!!!

Sooooo, got a 6V battery today and hooked her up.

The good news: The headlights, tail lights, dash lights and convertible top motor all work! The engine also turns over

The bad news: has a couple stuck valves. I dunno if I'm gonna monkey with it or just dump another engine in it. I have a 59AB with a Merc crank I am building, it may find it's way in there to help move the ol' tub along.

The back seat also shined right up with a little elbow grease!!
