Flux cre does weld but its a splattery mess, go with the gas and tip dip, works great, and 023 wire, easy grinding and clean up you will be happy instead of flux core just speaking from experience!

I use a can of Lincoln dip and use it a lot . The splatter comes off OK , just tiny BB's .
I am just going to order the gas set up for mine . I really just bought the small 110v Lincoln just to do metal work anyway . I am just looking to get better welds and less blow through . Still a great welder for sheet metal work and easy to take anywhere with me !

I'm just chiming in to say I bought a 110V Lincoln at the local home surplus supply lumber place. It was on sale, I need to stick stuff together and I needed it fast. I bought a gas kit from my local welding supply not too long after that and have been migging ever since. It works satisfactory, but I am saving my money for a good, 220V tig. Just letting you know you will be very happy with the gas kit, it was like night and day with me. It took some time to find what worked for me, as the guides that came with the welder gave me total birdsh!t results and it wasn't until I threw them out and experimented that i got good penetration and that lovely sound like sizzling bacon.

    Best of luck!
