Hi all. Been lurking here for quite a while and decided to leap in. This wanders a little, so feel free to jump to the last bit.
Been a motorhead for as long as I can remember. Learned my chops, such as they are, helping my brothers do running restos on old british stuff. Spitfires, MG's, a Healey 100-4. And yes, we wish we still had the 100-4. Drifted into musclecars for a while with some big block Olds cars. Did the bike thing for a while and ran Superbike, Sportsman and Vintage 5 & 6 classes on some of the east coast tracks.
Most recently I've gotten into hybrids. No, not that kind, Prius drivers piss me off. My most current non-commuter is an 85 Porsche with a stroker small block Chevy. Stupid fast and a real treat for irritating purists. Before that was a Volvo wagon with a Ford crate motor and a T-5. Nothing beats stomping a hole in a ricer in a wagon that has 2 baby seats, a dog gate and a roof rack.:D
I've also always wanted an early Ford rod and by sheer luck, I got introduced to some of the HAMBton, VA guys. They have been most patient in answering boneheaded questions and not minding when I stand around in their garages. Long story short, I like driving something a bit different. I've decided to go in the deep end and put together a Woodie. Or is it Woody. Ah, who cares. :) I am accumulating parts as I find what I need for what I can afford. The goal is something along the lines of the Spruce Deuce, or the Fink Woody. Only different. And not so shiny.
I've been doing allot of searching and am following several builds. I'll post questions when I can't find where it's been answered before. And I'll post threads when I have something interesting to share.

    Until then, cheers!
    Ed
