I got lucky---the guy that blasted my frame said he'd powdercoat for another $100---I asked for flat black but I got gloss. The price was right.

His booth is big enough ! :D Actually, my Son is thinking about having the cage he built in his Mustang coated but we have to do some research first because the 400 degree temps might warp the body. We talked it over with our PC guy and he says he can get it to 400 then turn it down to minimize any risk of warpage, but we want to be very sure first because his body is very straight right now. He feels the sustained 400 might be a problem but not 400 for just a little while. He showed us pictures of a sprint car he did and the panels didn't warp on that one.

I just had these parts done last week and at $50 it was a no brainer.

Man, some of you have some high power coating bills! I got my frame and 60 other parts (rotors, bars, brackets, etc.) for just $1,100.00 here - all blasted and coated gloss black. The only down side is if you need to have it filled or finished to show quality (not me). Then you are into some crazy costs for the proper fillers, etc.. Gary

Wow you guys in Florida have some cheap prices. I would be surprised if I could find anywhere up here that I could walk out the door for a frame alone for under $1000

Wow, that's nuts ! We have been using this guy for years and he rarely gets it done the day he promises, but we just build that in, but he does great work and is very reasonable. I don't even ask for the price up front any more because I know it will be a good deal when I pick it up.

When I had my frame and all those front end parts in his shop I was expecting maybe $800, but when I called him he said $389 ! I thought I heard him wrong so I pulled my car over and asked him again, and that was the price. I think I paid only a couple hundred bucks for the parts shown below.

Hey Porkn******, my frame is going under a 40 Ford PU. The majority will be covered but I'm not running fenders up front so that area will be exposed some. I will be storing it in my garage when not driving it. As far as driving I plan on running it around mostly during the summer and to a few shows etc..... I have no idea how well the POR 15 will wear but my friend helping with the build thought it would be a good paint for a tight budget. I could have went with epoxy primer or powder coating but this should work for me.
