Another Icon gone, Jan Berry RIP

Jan Berry, of Jan & Dean fame died yesterday at 62.

He never fully recovered from the 1966 crash of his Corvette.

What years were you involved? I'm trying to remember when I was a member; meetings were right off the circle in Auburn? And then at Jim Smarts house and also in the industrial bldg over near Nashua Airport.

 

Well that's easy to answer - never. Actually I've never been a card carrying member of a car club (honorary type member of a couple - like the Maui Cl***ic Cruisers). Interesting for a guy who's made over 65,000 plaques and has a collection of 14,000 patterns huh?

 

Well that explains why I dont remember you! Someone, and I cant remember who, said you were one of the charter members.

I better go find some memory pills.
