Hi fellas, getting my head around using this great site (not computer literate)rather than just looking every few days to see what going on , I really get a buzz outa seeing the build threads and the event coverage pics and general discussions and advice on tech stuff, I'm starting a build on a model A coupe for my wife , fenderless,283,Muncie,QC rear, drum brakes,A ch***is,keeping it simple, same ingredients as a lot on here have already done, the emphasis on having fun doing it ,and having fun using it, I have seen a few other kiwis on here , so high to y'all , and gidday to everyone else , Cheers PJ
Gidday from Chicago. Welcome to the best site around. A few minutes ago I just finished watching a do***entary about John Britten, wish he was still here. Amazing man, the kind we need more of. Have fun with the model A!
Yeh John Britten was ahead of his time ,like a lot of real clever people that die to young, one thing is for sure a lot of them are self taught and pick up on an idea and run with it till they get it accomplished ,this is usually a lifetime of dedication, Cheers
Hey PJ, Don't know whether I should be welcoming you, ya' been hanging round here longer than me... Great to see you've stepped up from being a lurker Looking forward to "your wife's" Model A taking shape on here! Bear
Howdy Bear, I don't know if I miss read your greeting message or you made a spelling mistake ( which isn't good seeing as your a sine righter),I'm a happily married man ,so the her you refer to could only be my wife or the model A, an I must admit I really am having trouble dividing my time between them, Cheers PJ
Thanks for the welcome ,Bay of plenty, home is half way between Whakatane an Tauranga, work is in Rotorua , Cheers PJ
Hi , am not to good at lots a computer stuff ,including posting pics, BUT its something I need to master , I need to sit down with some one an get taught,I have plenty of pics so far starting from when I drove her home as a registered and warranted 31 model A vintage car ,to stripping the fenders and running boards to run her at the last dust up, to now as I'm about to start s***ching a A ch***is together , Cheers PJ
Hi 97, thanks for sticking a pic of the model A up , I brought it last year as a registered and warranted (vintage )car , ripped all the fenders and running boards off , took it to the 2013 dust up and had an absolute blast , building a ch***is at the moment on model a rails ,V8, Muncie ,QC ,drums all round an then will swap body onto that ch***is , for street driven hot rod, guns look round for roadster body to put onto banger ch***is so I can run at dust up and similar events , cheers PJ
