Discussion in 'New to the H.A.M.B.? Introduce yourself here!' started by blue collar stu, Mar 18, 2007.

  1. hello everyone, my name is stu and i live in Melbourne Australia.
i have lurked about here a little and noticed a couple of topics i thought i could contribute to so i joined up.
my first car is a 71 falcon straight 6 nothing too flash but the one im excited about is a '51 hudson pacemaker. it was in a reasonable state when i got hold of it but mechanically on its last legs with a bad falcon driveline swap. i have a hudson 308 to go back in once its rebuilt.
some of you melbourne guys might of seen it on an inner melbourne street....

Welcome Stu '51 Hudsons Have The Koolest Grills.

  5. hey nekro. i im in the northern suburbs, i'll be moving in about 2 weeks, still north though. yeh this thing is the one that was for sale in qld for a while, he had his price out in the stratosphere for what it is, once he dropped it i picked it up... odd thing is it was last rego'd down here. which helped me blat past the traffic group police base down the street without looking too suss. body wise im just gonna tidy up the rough edges and rust, make it smooth and do something neat with the paint and interior. if i can find something decent to do to the grille i might (they look funny with different grilles a lot of the time) the 48-50s had more potential for easy mods because of the more square shell. 51-54 is a lot more work
ZZ iron i have only been on one real good drive in this thing and it handled really well down the only windy road it went down considering the front end geo is all screwed from too much lowering and it had a blown out shock mount. so yeh im with ya on that one!

Its great to see more Melbourne Hot Rodders on this board, and especially welcoming to see an Inliner too.

Hey I'm trying to get together with inliners in Australia, so as to get a chapter of Inliners International going........ We should talk

  7. Alright another local boy, guess we really should look at having a get together.

  8. yeah that would be neat. one of the reasons i hopped on was i noticed a fair few melbourne guys lurking about.
