first frame pics of the original unoriginal hope to get some rolling ch***is pics up this weekend if all goes well
Man! that is a nice looking A frame. Beautiful flowing lines....my good friend Bingo and I were just saying the other day how it would be nice to see some imagination go into one, rather than the traditional 45's. This is a good sign of things to come I hope!! Look forward to seeing it as it progresses. Keep up the good work -Stevie D.
NOW that is the first truly ORIGINAL design I have seen for a Model A frame EVER! And I though mine was nice, but mine doesn't hold a candle, I am really IMPRESSED!!!!! Would like to seem some pictures during the build and certainly more of the rolling ch***is. Absolutely beautiful!
got my 36 rear end today and another cowl for some patches i need, just got the front suspension on and the rear end hanging. gonna get it on wheels and hopefully have the drive train in tomorrow, watch for pics!
i guess the good thing about having insomnia is that you can get more stuff done. went back tonight to the shop and did more ***embly and fitting of stuff, hope you guys like it. need to get shocks mounted and figure out another brace in the front of the x member and then its on to the body a little info on the frame...... this is probably the 3rd go around with getting the frame together. it started out with just a plain ol model a frame that i made some curved kick ups for. then my coworker (shaun) suggested using the rear of a 41 ford frame for the kick ups, which i scored for free (thanks chris). so it got cut all apart and that rear was grafted on. the x-member i think is also 41 and the center portion was cut out and the points were connected. the ****** crossmember is a model t rear crossmember that was boxed and a duck bill added on for the mount point to the ******. just thought id mention for those building with brand new white walls that dont want to get them all beat up before you even drive your car, try using some carpet plastic on the tires. its like thick saran wrap with one side thats kinda sticky, but peels off with out leaving any residue
Are you planning on doing anything to strengthen the radius rods? It seems like I've read about people having problems when they don't turn them into a ladder bar type set-up, or other methods that can be applied to keep them from being over stressed. Am I talking out my *** here? I could be wrong.... Malcolm
Funny Malcom, I was at Pineapple powers this past weekend telling him to stregthen his rear radious rods. I told him of 5WBomber's and others having breakage issues, and he's in the middle of changing that...maybe an update Greg Josh, ALWAYS somthing goin on here in Spokompton
new pics.... couldnt resist putting some eye candy on the motor, got my edelbrock valve covers and intake on. front model a shocks mounted too, model a front shock arms cut down and welded to speedway perch pins. 32-34 perch pins wouldnt work due to using later wishbones. still need to get some other drivetrain "issues" worked out and the rear wishbones and torque arm finished up
