Bodywork is looking great, this was always my favorite stage, putting the paint on always seamed like the beginning of the end of the project.

  8. What an EPIC build. Good times ahead!

  9. I've only seen/heard one cammer on the street (in a tubbed 34 coupe many years ago) and the sound was cool (no blower on it, my understanding was the engine was stock). Although it had a "lumpy" sound to the exhaust, it also sounded smooth. That's the best way I can explain it which I fully understand, does not make sense o_O:)

    Super cool Willy's

@SOHC427, you are definitely doing the car justice and you aren’t talking any shortcuts. It has all of the right vintage parts.

Not sure how I missed this but am caught up now. What a great Willys you are building! I saw you had it at Fast Eddies open house this year. I was there last year so sorry I didn’t make it back this year to see your car in person. I will be following along from now on.

The Headers for the Coupe, are in their final color. They will cure for a few days. Car is really coming together nicely. Going to wire her up, next. IMG_20240117_193330.jpg IMG_20240117_193325.jpg

This Coupe is going to be better than it has ever been. You have all of the right parts and you definitely aren’t taking any short cuts.

I'm not going to start getting lazy now!!! Thanks for following the build, and your encouragement!!

  26. Let’s see now, frame, check, roll cage, check, blown big block, check, posi rear end, check, wheels, check, tires, double check, seat, check, full body harness, triple check, crash helmet ( DUH!) , check. Looks like that’s all of it except for color, in which case just paint it black. Hehe.

I was able to put a few hours into my Coupe today. Header Studs in, although the steering shaft will be an issue, Drive Shaft is in, and perfect, and Hood Latches, are in place

Dash has been semi repaired, and now off to a Colorado shop, Paul's Vintage Wiring, for a complete harness, and needed add ons. It's getting real fun now! 20240202_101944.jpg
