I've got a few. There's the 68 Ford Fairlane, a 69 Fairlane that needs a lot of work. A 53 Chevy truck that I'm going to start in a few weeks. My daily ride is a 96 Impala. I'm looking at trading it in for a newer truck.
Not sure yet about what I'll do with the truck. I'm thinking falt black paint with green flames, or flat black with red and white pinstripes. I do know I want whites wides, not sure if I'll go with caps or with chromes reversed wheels. I might bag it. It doesn't have a bed, don't know if I'll get one, or just run it without. I'm thinking of making a gas tank from a keg, to move the tank from inside the cab, plus it would look cool. lol If you guys have any suggestions, please chime in, I'd love to hear some. BTW here's a link to the cool cars. lol http://www.sounddomain.com/memberpage/763649
The Keg gas tank idea is totally cool. Stick with that truck, don't bag it. Build it and drive the **** out of it. You gonna stick with the 6 or drop in a new motor. I think it would be cool to trick out the 6, too easy to put a 350 in there....everybody does that. I like the looks of the 6 better even though I got the 283 in mine.
I plan on keeping the six. I do have an FE 390 sitting in my garage though. It be kinda cool to have that in there. But for now, I plan on keeping the six.
Welcome. The '53 sounds cool. I like the sixes for a change. I also like the thought of the FE in a Chev. A friends dad has just finished a '48 Chev pick-up with a 351 Cleveland in it --- just to upset the establishment a bit. Cheers.
