I am glad I found this site! Iam in Oklahoma and dont have much of a true Hot Rod scene here. I have been into drag racing all my life. I have a 1962 Chevy 2 that runs 10s but the local tracks have closed and I dont have an endless wallet. I found my self racing with guys that have 30,000.00 in their engines. My 2000.00 sbc got respect but I could never get in the money. I have parked the Chevy 2 for now and started looking for a Tall T. I found one in a guy had sitting in his pasture. My Uncle had a 27 when I was a pup and I always wanted to find one for my self. His car is long gone but I will never forget the fun we had in it. I found a 26 thats close enough for me. I dont want any chrome! I plan on no paint and no repair to the 3 bullett holes in the left rear! I have a cool cross ram dual carb intake for a sbc that I think will look killer in this car! You never see these intakes you cant get the valve covers off the intake hangs over the covers! I will get some pictures up soon. Thanks for allowing me to be apart of this site. and I look foward to any tips and advise you all might give me.
You need to get the T ready or bring the other one to the HAMB drags in Joplin MO. next year. Welcome to the HAMB.
Ol chevy 2's are cool, used to have one when they weren't so old, factory ss/4spd.....Now T coupes are really cool.... Welcome
