Okay, I'm another new guy looking to start building an old hot rod. I'm located in central florida. I'm currently looking for something to start building, prefferably an old model A . I have very little knowledge of the older cars, but I'm a technician by trade so I am very mechanically inclined. If any body is in my area that can point me in the right direction as far as car shows, parts swap meets that I can attend to help find something I can start on that would be great. If anybody has any late model tech questions I can probably help. Thanks for having me.
Welcome to the HAMB! I'm not even "freeway close" since the I-10 washed away (It goes all the way to Santa Monica, CA you know...!?) I have no idea where Cocoa is but think there's HAMBers it Tampa and Orlando among others.
Cocoa is about 15min away from Cape Canaveral where the shuttle is launched from. If there's anyone in my area that can help me find a ride to get started on that would be great.
