Plastic models, wooden go karts, model airplanes then cars! 62 impala w 283, offy tri-power, turbo 400, crashed it into a crick whilst street racing in 75. (Honest dad I wuzn’t racing!). Wasted my adolescence hopping up and racing (streets and brackets) a 67 Firebird into the early 80’s, sold it in ‘83. Life got in the way….
Then picked up a 53 F100 with a flattie in 98, been my fair weather work / shop truck ever since. Several other additions to the fleet since, however I’ve always wanted a traditional rod. Recently acquired a 1930 Pontiac Roadster which had been constructed as a TROG car. Stovebolt 6 with offy intake and Fentons. Been hiding in the shop for the last several months getting it ready for the street. Driven it twice so far in my neighborhood. Needs an electrical system, exhaust and just gone through everywhere. Can’t wait to get it completed and take it out!
