Here is a video of Bud's first drive in his pick up.. Still a few things to do before it is finished, mount windshield, wire etc.. but it was nice to see it on the road / gravel.. <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/wcMDtn1yeIM?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/wcMDtn1yeIM?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>
It's great to see "Bud" back in the saddle again. What a major influence he was on my hot rodding life. Thanks! I hope he will start to write again, his knowledge and insight would make a great contribution to the sport.
After being "away" from the hot rod scene for so long, it sure is great to see Bud back in the saddle again. I'm pretty certain that if it wasn't for Bud and Tom Medley, together with Jim Jacobs, hot rodding very well could have died. I know that they called the rebirth "street rodding" but what the hell, it was all fun with old cars so who cares. Hot rods are back in full force and thank you very much, Bud Bryan.
WOW!!! Suddenly I feel old remembering the articles Bud wrote about building his origonal roadster. I've got them stashed away around here somewhere and haven't unpacked them since the move to the "new" house over 15 years ago. It's good to know he is still around and hope he knows how big an influence he had a lot of new hot rodders back then. Frank
Bitchin' His R&C roadster build is top shelf in my library. It was the inspiration to build one. And driving the thing cross country with Pete & Jake was mind boggling. Glad to see that he's still kickin'.
