Howdy from Dallas, Texas. I'm Alan and I love old cars and trucks, mostly hotrodded stuff. Model A's, Dueces, any/all kinds of Rat Rods. I'm currently rebuilding a 1929 Model A special coupe for my 75 yr old Dad to drive. It's going to be basically stock, with some B motor upgrades, 12v, the usual stuff. He always wanted a Model A coupe, so I aim to see he gets what he wants. After all, he always did right by me. Lately I've branched off into old Mopars. I got me a real sweet '34 Dodge Brothers pickup(suicide doors!) with no motor or transmission, but otherwise it's pretty straight. The usual cracks in the usual places, but no big deal. It doesn't matter anyway, the paint will be the last thing I think about. Even then, I'll probably go with my standard 1/2 black 1/2 grey sealer mix and leave the dingey red wire wheels alone. Being poor lately, due to the wife losing her job almost a year ago, I have to start out on the cheap if I want to enjoy this ride anytime soon. As a result, I took a 225 slant 6 and a 904 a buddy had in his garage. Like any upstanding citizen, he replaced the slant with a 440/727, so that left the old bullet to me(more like a primer really). I plan to install it "as is" at first, then later scab a junkyard bought turbo to it for a little extra fun and something a little different. Me? I'm 43 now. My first car was my brothers left-behind '48 Ford coupe de luxe with a flathead. It's one of the cars in my life I would KILL to get back. So straight and nice, what a great hotrod it would make now! Oh well, such is Life. Until next time, keep it greasy! Alan Edited to include pictures.
Ahhh, screw it. I'm no good with computers! I'll post the '34 when I figure this place out a little better. Sorry! Alan
