Hi all, been a casual observer of the site for many years and decided to give membership a try. I currently own a 39 Chevy Master Deluxe and am building my first pre 49 (48 ford Sedan) car at the ripe old age of 66. Well actually I bought the car many years ago to work on as project with my son. Turns out he doesn't care for working on old cars. I know the 48 is a long way from completion so I bought the 39 to drive this year while I work on the 48. Most of my experience is with the 60's GM muscle cars so this is new territory for me. Hope my old brain can absorb everything I need to know for this project. I have already gained a fair amount of knowledge just lurking over the years. I'm hoping to find some guidance from he seasoned street rod guys out there. Cheers!

  2. Welcome to the HAMB from Illinois.

Good idea to buy a driver rod so you can stay on the road while building your project rod.
