hmm... 'spose i'd better do one of these newbie threads... My first car was a '63 Nova and I've had a couple other 60s cars but no traditional rods or customs. My current, and only, vehicle is a '65 Olds 98. The frame is rusty, the 425 is tired and....it's white... (it's hard to work on these things when you drive it every day) but, it gets me around. I live with my dad in a residential neighborhood right now. He's big into drag racing at the local strip so between his drag vehicles, driver, trailer, and other projects, I'm lucky if there's room to park my car in the driveway let alone get any space in our little 2 car garage (i got yelled at 'cause i left a battery charger in there once! ) but, when i get my own place i'm looking to build a 40s pickup. maybe a Studebaker with an original V8, or some kind of OHV inline 6.... or maybe a 215 buick...who knows, we'll have to see what kind of deals come my way. Until then I'll keep wrenching on the Oldsmobeast and try to soak up some knowledge here on the H.A.M.B. note: house number made from exhaust tubing and old drag slicks. Not my idea!!! also, those oil spots on the road aren't mine.
other intrest include music (different kinds, mostly stuff nobody has ever heard of, don't get me started), watching cartoons, and of course drinking beer (any Leinies drinkers out there?!)
Hi Reprisal, Welcome to the HAMB from Oklahoma! Your dad's idea for house numbers sounds kind of cool, in a way. I've never seen that before. Good luck in finding yourself a project. There's plenty of knowledge to soak up around here, so have fun. CathyH
